JOB TITLE: Operations Officer
LOCATION: Lagos, Nigeria (on-site)
REPORTING TO: Executive Director
Intersex Nigeria invites interested and motivated applicants to apply for the role of Operations Officer.
The Operations Officer oversees programs and activities and directs daily organizational operations and
administrative processes of Intersex Nigeria.

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Supervising the implementation of program activities and providing technical guidance to staff as
necessary to ensure quality program implementation.
• Ensure the follow-up and reporting of the activities that may include training, information
campaign, facilitation, data collecting, advocating, etc.
• Contributing to the writing, editing, and publication of Intersex Nigeria’s publications including
papers, shadow reports, and other related publications.
• Ensure coordination and information flow to the Intersex Nigeria team.
• Oversee and maintain all relevant records and organizational documents, including contracts and
organizational policies, and managerial procedures.
• Supervises organizational staff deliverables like timesheets and monthly reports
• Supports the finance team to manage payroll and maintain the human resource files and records.
• Alongside the executive director, coordinate relationships with auditors, accountants, local authorities,
and other external stakeholders.
• Support in monitoring and coordination of different project activities and ensuring compliance with
reporting deadlines and requirements.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science or discipline. A masters-level degree would be an added
• At least 3-5 years NGO experience as an Operations Officer, Director of programs or any similar
• Experience in designing and implementing successful human rights programs, campaigns, and
• A strong commitment to, and passion for the principles and practice of equity, equality, social
inclusion, and human rights.
• Possess good leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think and
act quickly and creatively under pressure.
• Excellent writing skills with proven ability in interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good with networking and managing complex situations.
• Ability to deliver tasks with minimal supervision.
• A good understanding of issues affecting the intersex community in Nigeria and globally including
SOGIESC components.
• Personal qualities of humility, capacity for self-reflection, and a sense of humor are a plus.
• Availability to travel within and outside Nigeria.

The salary for this role ranges from ₦250,000 – ₦300,000 monthly. This is a full-time position. We are
